Kapi mana Motor Cycle Club has a strong Mini Moto-X team that supports the riding and racing needs of our youngest members.

From 3 years on you can obtain your racing licence from MotorCycling New Zealand and enjoy the active sport of Motorcross.

We run our own Mini track at Moonshine ( Off Bulls Run Road. ) Porirua , and race there on the third Sunday of each month.

Mini Riders are expected and required to follow all rules set down by Motorcycle New Zealand in respect to Mini Moto-X and all local club rules as set out by the host Club.

Safety is our Primary concern and as such Moto-X Safety gear must be worn when racing or riding in the pits.

This includes...

Approved Helmet...Back/front roost Shield...Gloves...Long sleeves,trousers...Boots

Mini Moto-X Bikes and quads also are covered by general rules..include having them...

Well maintained..good Brakes..Large Race number's (Black with White Numbers)..no sidestand..plugged bar ends..balls on lever ends...Kill teather on large Quads.

Classes raced at Moonshine are :..

50cc 3-5 years
50cc 6-8 years
60cc Moto-X
65cc Moto-X
110cc Trail ( Air cooled )
50cc Production Quads 3-7 years
100cc Production Quads 7-10 years
Unlicenced and unnumbered all in

Race days consist off ariving at the pits around 0730. sign in around 0800. Riders breifing 0830.practice laps then racing around 0900. Concuding around 1500.
Race day fees are around $15-20. depending on the days event.
Food and drink are usually available on site..bring along gumboots , chairs and shade. -->
